Planet Soria seen through the dome of Hunrath
A Cell in Obduction (also referred to as a sphere[1][2][3]) is a spherical portion of a planet that has been swapped with an exact-size sphere from another planet because of the (theoretical) actions of a pair of Mother Seeds. A Cell is surrounded by a transparent membrane or dome[4] that cannot be crossed. It transports anyone or anything that goes past it to the exact opposite side of the Cell. Red beam devices that block this transport were placed in Hunrath, Kaptar, and Maray during the Mofang War.
Known Cells[]
There are four Cells encountered in Obduction:
- Hunrath, the human sphere taken from Earth
- Soria, the Mofang sphere taken from the planet Soria
- Kaptar, the Arai sphere taken from the planet Kaptar
- Maray, the Villein sphere taken from the planet Maray
