The Temple of Kaptar

The Temple is a location in Kaptar. After passing the swing bridge of Kaptar, a long and windy path on the side of a steep crevice brings one to a plateau which forms the entrance of a Temple. From this plateau we also see the red beam of Kaptar, which, like in the case of Hunrath, keeps the dome of the cell impenetrable and therefore all the transit portals closed.

The interior of the Temple

The Temple was carved into the side of the rocky cliffs with large steps and pillars leading inside by a race who lived on the world of Kaptar long ago. The passage through it, however, is blocked by a huge docking station of a heavy cable platform. The machinery driving it is has big wheels and heavy chains, and there is a docking basin under the cable platform, but initially all this is not in operation. These machines were built by another race of the past, who succeeded the constuctors of the temples. Also from the front of the Temple, the Tree of Kaptar is notably visible but inaccessible.

Access to the inner parts of the Temple is gradual in the game. First one has to manage to get across the docking basin. The big flying cetacean-like creatures were fished out of the air by the giant hooks baited with Arai beetles and hauled in the basin for processing. When the hook is moved away, the other side becomes accessible and the interior of the Temple can be explored. There are steps going down to central inner area from where steps go back up in various directions, one of which leads to a new path. Even so, the Tree has to be reached from another way.
