Walkthrough - Part 10[]
Now get to the floor of the bronze basin under you. To get there, follow the ramps down and back outside. Take a path to the right that drops down and hugs the side of the cliff edge. Follow it round and up until you emerge under the chain you travelled along earlier. Keep going forward, then to the left, and up the stairs. This area will open up into the Temple interior. Take the path on the left, and pass under the cetacean (or 'big flying fish') skeletons. Keep going straight, and through the cell wall portal at the end of this path. Keep going along this new path and up the stairs. Off one of the landings as the stairs zigzag up is a room with the new seed-swap device, going to Maray. Activate it.
You'll come out above the white door we saw earlier, except this time, you have a panel to interact with.
Clear all connections and hit the button. See the door open and return to Kaptar using the seed-swap device. Continue up the stairways, ignoring a side-path that goes down to still another seed-swap device, until you get all the way to the top on the moving platform.
Climb on board and turn the lever. This will bring you to the top platform of the big machine we activated earlier. Go to your left to release the ladder. Hmm, this has raised the Russian device up at a strange angle, but it still works.
Go down the ladder, back to the crankshaft machine and get on the platform where you connected all the shafts. Turn the ring to aim at the lower left connection and throw the switch to disable it. This opens a path we will soon need.
Go back up the ladder and turn left on the catwalk. Take the elevator down, find the seed-swap device, and activate it. You will appear, along with the wooden platform, on the rotating mechanism where the stone sphere had been. Head down and around, and push the button 4 times (4 x 45°=180°) and swap back to Kaptar. Go up the steps and open door. Swap back to Hunrath and rotate the platform 90° more (press the button 2 times). The stairs going up (the higher staircase) should be pointing directly towards the Tower.
Get on the wooden platform again and swap back to Kaptar. Now the stairs going down should be in front of an entrance to another area. Notice that above the lower opening there is another opening above it. Let's first find the way to unlock the door that leads to the upper opening.
Exit below and watch carefully to the right for a path. A first wooden junction marks it. Go right and unlock the door. You will also see the Arai Polyarch at this junction and many Arai beetles flying around.
Get back to the main path and continue straight to the bottom, ignoring the second wooden junction towards the right. You are now in the War Room of Kaptar.
Take a look around and write down the number you will find in a note. It is meant for the Russian box you saw earlier. If you enter this number in later on, you'll get an achievement (Sweet Revenge) on Steam.
Exit the war room and turn left at the junction you ignored before. Go all the way down the Hive, exit outside and now that this mechanism has been disabled you can pass through the big wheel and find your way down to the Heart of the Kaptar tree. Turn the water on and watch as the water rises and the roots start glittering. Now the heart-to-heart connection with the tree of Hunrath is open.
Go back to the wooden platform, swap to Hunrath and rotate it 90° more (click the button twice), swap back, take the lift up and walk along the catwalk all the way to the moving platform (a kind of cable car actually). Turn the lever to go across. Go down, cross the little temple and follow the stairs to the left down until you come to the golden broken machine with the golden barnacles. Turn left there and follw the path down to still another seed-swap device inside. Activate it.
You are now in Farley's vault. Inspect the room and read all the paparwork.
